Placenta Remedies

The placenta is an absolutely incredible organ that supports the life of your unborn baby whilst growing within your womb. Its role doesn't have to end once your baby is born, as the placenta is rich in many nutrients like iron, vitamins, minerals, stem cells, growth factors and hormones, and people find that when they consume their own placenta after birth, it contributes to a gentler and easier postpartum recovery.

My placenta encapsulation service is a simple and modern way for new parents to receive the benefits of consuming their placenta by using a professional and safe technique to process their own placenta into capsules within days of their birth. I am delighted to be able to offer this service along with a selection of other  placenta preparation methods.

I have trained with Independent Placenta Encapsulation Network (IPEN). I also hold certificates in Food Hygiene, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Infection Control. I am registered with the local councils and am fully insured.

I only process one placenta at a time so that there is no risk of cross contamination.

People who consume their placentas after birth have reported:
  • enhanced milk supply
  • increased energy levels
  • reduced incidence of "baby blues"
  • reduced incidence of post-natal depression
  • reduced postpartum bleeding
  • quicker recovery from birth

Placenta Encapsulation Services

Steamed Placenta Encapsulation - £195

With this method of encapsulation, the placenta is first steamed with a selection of native herbs. I have consulted with my wise and wonderful friend, Herbalist Jo Farren, to choose these herbs, which have been carefully selected for their grounding, circulation-aiding and balancing properties. The placenta is then dehydrated, ground and put into vegan-friendly capsules.

Simple Placenta Encapsulation - £195

With this method of encapsulation, the placenta is simply dehydrated, then ground and put into vegan-friendly capsules. This method of raw dehydration is believed to retain more of the nutrients to yield a stronger energetic response.

50/50 Steamed + Simple Encapsulation - £225

You can choose to have half of your placenta processed using the Steamed method and half using the Simple method. You will receive two packets containing each preparation so that you can use them at different stages of your postpartum journey as needed.
